Craft Scotland Contemporary Craft Fair

Taking a tactile line for a wander across their surface, this trio of cushions, Loop, Coil and Collage, are crafted from manufacture by-product material from Scottish mills. The cashmere selvedges usually discarded in industrial production processes are salvaged, snipped and stitched into new, seductively soft forms.



Recalling the layered urban landscape of Edinburgh, this soft fabric facade is created from intersecting panels of silk and cotton organdie. As light travels through the piece, its complex composition comes to life, offering a subtle shade that shifts with the seasons.



Presented by Craft Scotland and curated by Stacey Hunter, the Fair immerses audiences in the work of Scotland-based makers, complemented by a rich programme of workshops and events.
